Day 1 Saturday 10th June 2023  Broome - Cygnet River
Need to get ourselves into tour mode. Breakfast at 7.00 am, bags at coach by 8.00 am. First day is always a test for a tour group, are they going to be any late risers ? Will the coach leave on time ? Well, everyone was there at breakfast and everyone was ready to go at 8.00. - A good sign !

First day is a drive to Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm on the Cape Leveque peninsula. After a morning tea stop at the Djarindjin Roadhouse, we arrived at 10.30 am. First thing we were on a boat ride around the Buccaneer Archipelago with over a 1000 islands and a huge tide movement. today was a 5 metre movement, some days it can be as high as 12 metres. We were going out on a low incoming tide.

We were loaded into an amphibia vessel to be taken out in the bay to transfer onto a larger boat to explore the bay. Nothing like getting straight into it. The trip was over 2 hours and very informative about both pearl farming and the bay in general. Lorenzo was our knowledgable guide and turned it into a great trip.
