We set off on a fairly leisurely drive to Trapani, arriving just after 10:30. Parked our car in the first available not busy spot, and started walking the city streets. First impressions were a bit under-whelming, until we finally reached the old town section close to the port. Trapani is a fishing village with a large fishing fleet. Being a Monday, a lot of the old buildings and businesses were not open. It was still an impressive walk around the old town.
Booked into our accommodation for the next 2 nights and had pizza for dinner.
We ended up spending most of the day up here, so the other planned activites didn't get achieved. Wonderful walk around the city, of course a coffee, and a genevese sweet, which the area is famous for. Back at our room by 16:00

Not to mention the phone link for the schnapps chorus with the Rotate The Ringers.
And, your lovely story about ‘Socks’. It came as a surprise to us all because, to the best of our knowledge ‘Socks’ had not to date featured in any of the posted images.
