We arranged to meet some of our group this morning at 9:00 to catch a Heritage Bus tour of the city, a 90 minute loop around with commentary of the various sites and monuments. Seated upstairs on the double decker bus wearing the "non la", the traditional iconic Vietnamese conical hat, we certainly looked the part as we enjoyed an orientation of the city. Held on only with a thin chin strap, it was challenging at times trying to balance the hat on the head and take pictures as the wind picked up as we traversed the many narrow streets.
We then tried the highly recommended Vietnamese Egg Coffee - a cold brew with a raw egg added. Actually it was very tasty !
The day was still young so we walked to the Ben Thanh Market, built by the French in 1912, which sells everything you could imagine. It was hot and stuffy with narrow aisles and vendors who were so very keen to get our attention and our money. We bought a fridge magnet to add to our collection for each country we visit.

Look at you two at the front of the bus wearing your non-la.
Was there much in the way of reflection on the American War, other than the jet?
