Day 2 - Colombo
Saturday 2nd August, 2026 - Colombo
After breakfast we checked out and asked the front desk to store our bags for awhile before we transfer to another hotel. We called Krishan, the tuk tuk driver we met yesterday and headed off to explore more of the sights of Colombo.
At the end of our 4 hour tuk tuk tour, we asked Krishna to help us transport our luggage to our new hotel - Morven Hotel, about 2 Kms away. It was a squeeze, but we eventually got it all into his vehicle and though it struggled with the weight, we did make to our new hotel.
This was the "first day" of our Sri Lankan tour with G Adventures, consisting of meeting our fellow travellers at a meeting at 18:30, followed by a group dinner. Our tour leader is Narle and we are a group of 15, mostly from the UK, a single from USA (originally from Ukraine) and a family of 3 from Germany. No other Australians !
All set for the tour to start in earnest tomorrow.
